The Zuma Affiliate Programme
Most affiliate programmes pay you once — when someone signs up through your link. Zuma's affiliate programme pays you on every transaction your referred users make, forever, across all 15 services.
Refer a friend who takes 10 Zuma rides a month, orders food 15 times, and occasionally shops on the e-commerce platform. You earn on every single one of those transactions, for as long as they remain a Zuma user. This is a fundamentally different earning model from one-time referral bonuses.
Commission Rates
Commission rates vary by service: 2% on ride hailing, 2.5% on food delivery, 1% on e-commerce, 2% on pharmacy orders, 3% on hotel and tour bookings, 1.5% on freelance transactions, and 1% on courier shipments. These are paid on the transaction value, not the platform fee.
On a typical month, an active Zuma user might spend KES 15,000 on rides, KES 8,000 on food, and KES 5,000 on pharmacy. Your affiliate earnings: KES 300 on rides + KES 200 on food + KES 100 on pharmacy = KES 600 from that one user. Refer 50 active users and that's KES 30,000 per month in passive income.
Tiers and Bonuses
Affiliates progress through tiers: Bronze (0–10 referred users), Silver (11–50), Gold (51–200), Platinum (201+). Higher tiers earn higher commission rates — Platinum affiliates earn up to 50% more than Bronze on every transaction. Tier upgrades are evaluated monthly and take effect on the 1st of the following month.
Payouts
Commissions accumulate in your Zuma Wallet and can be withdrawn to M-Pesa, MTN MoMo, or Airtel Money at any time. Minimum withdrawal is KES 500. No maximum. No expiry on earned commissions.
